An incredible ending to the 2019 Drift Kings: Europe, Pro2 and Queen series took place in front of thousands of spectators that turned up to witness the action unfold in Serres, Greece, as Rick Van Goethem landed the 2019 Drift Kings: Europe title for the first time!
The insane fast and technical layout put on for the drivers created the ultimate show for the huge crowd, as they cheered on their local heroes as they fought it out for the double points on offer.
They certainly weren't left disappointed as Christos Chantzaras once again proved he's the man to beat on his home circuit, landing the top spot in Saturday's qualifying session.
Swiss pilot Yves Meyer took the second place spot, with Marco Zakouril desperately trying to catch up with series leader Rick Van Goethem in third.
In the Pro2 series, Alexandre Strano's fine form continued as he extended his lead at the top of the rankings. Youngster Claudiu Adam had a fine start in his debut as he landed second place with Cypriot visitor Neofitos Fikardou securing third.
German drift girl Denise Ritzmann took the top spot in the Queen series qualifying as she earned valuable points to fight with second place Karolina Pilarczyk for the title.
Saturday's action didn't stop there, as the drivers were invited for a street parade around Serres city centre. This brought out the locals in their masses to witness a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of seeing some of Europe's finest drift cars pass them in their local streets!
On Sunday it was game day, and after the fun of the night before, it was time to get serious once again as the drivers fought for the deciding points of the season. With double points on offer, it'd be more intense than ever!
With Rick Van Goethem and Marco Zakouril fighting it out for the title, Rick defeated Giorgios Tsiliponis in the Top 16 before also surpassing Pambos Tsouri in the Top 8.
He would eventually be stopped in his tracks after a door-to-door battle against local hero and Monster Energy teammate, Christos Chantzaras. But he'd already done enough to secure the title!
Despite the 2018 Champion Marco Zakouril being defeated, he continued to push as hard as he could, as he went head-to-head against Christos Chantzaras in the final battle!
After Rick Van Goethem secured the third-place spot with a win in the small final over an in-form Massimo Checchin, it was all eyes on the final battle as Christos Chantzaras looked to earn his second consecutive win on home turf.
He certainly didn't disappoint once again, as he secured the victory to a roaring cheer from the home crowd! This left Marco Zakouril to take second place and Rick Van Goethem in third.
This means that the final podium for the 2019 Drift Kings: Europe podium sees Rick Van Goethem secure the title, with Marco Zakouril in second and Massimo Checchin in third.
In the Pro2 series, Alexandre Strano's perfect weekend was complete, when he not only landed the top qualifying spot, but also secured the win in the battles and then took the title home to France!
In the final round, Alexandre Strano took the top spot with Giannis Kamziolis in second and Mathieu Bareyt in third.
As Alexandre Strano once again returned to the top spot to secure the 2019 Drift Kings: Pro2 Championship, it was German driver Maxi Grimm that took second place with Mathieu Bareyt taking the third spot.
In the Queen Championship, a tough battle between Denise Ritzmann and Karolina Pilarczyk in the final would also become the title decider! After a close battle, the results were in, and it's Denise Ritzmann who manages to retain her Queen title!
